Release Date and New Monsters
A fanged beast introduced first introduced in Sunbreak. Garangolm is one of the Three Lords you need to hunt to prevent the calamity falling over Elgado and the Citadel. This new monster resides in the woodlands of Citadel.
It uses its huge body to attack. When enraged it covers its right arm in magma and the other arm in moss, making it attack with both water and fire elements.
A new feisty subspecies of Bishaten has been found in the new locale that will be available in Sunbreak! The Blood Orange Bishaten looks almost the same as the Bishaten we know but instead of fruits it will throw exploding pinecones at you!
Blood Orange Bishaten: Basic Information
The Thunder Wyvern Astalos has made its way into Sunbreak! Originally from Monster Hunter Generations, older players will surely be familiar with this monster's thunderous return.
This main trio is known as the biggest threat to the kingdom, aptly named the Three Lords. The monsters being Lunagaron, Malzeno, and Garangolm.
We have no name for it yet, but there's a new goofy-looking small monster introduced as well! It looks like a cross between a bat, a hyena, and a lizard.
The new locale is revealed to be called The Citadel! It includes forests, mountains, and ruined castles. We can't wait to explore it and discover new endemic life!
The Sunbreak expansion will introduce new types of Wirebugs the Ruby and Gold Wirebug. Both wirebugs make it easier to initiate wyvern riding and improves the recovery speed of your Wirebug Gauge.
Closely related to Puppet Spiders but are diffirentiated by its blue hair and striking orange patterns. According to the official site its silk can take control of a monster and potentially damage it if aimed to an obstacle. More details about this new endemic life will be revealed when the Sunbreak expansion is released.
Accompanying the release of the Sunbreak expansion, three brand new Amiibo will be released. One for the Palmute called Canyne Malzeno, one for the Palico called Felyne Malzeno, and one for the monster Malzeno!
All New Amiibo and Amiibo Unlocks
Scanning these new Amiibo will gift hunters with new in-game layered armor called the Formal Dragon for the Palico, Palamute, and Hunter. Not to mention getting a chance to play the daily lottery for various prizes.
