Monster Hunter Rise (MH Rise) - How To Save The Game Banner

Monster Hunter Rise (MH Rise) has an autosave feature, but there's also a manual save that could be handy for hunters that want to get weapon and armor info without committing their hard-earned materials and zenny. Find out how to save manually below!

Autosave vs. Manual Save

MH Rise - Save Prompt After Quest

Autosave Manual Save
The game automatically saves your progress whenever you finish a quest. A prompt would pop up on your screen after finishing a quest that lets you save the game manually.
Overwrites previous save state. Gives you a chance to do over a quest as it does not save your progress without your permission.
Items and zennies collected are saved automatically after finishing a quest. Collected items and materials will not be saved automatically.

Also keep in mind that the game only saves your progress whenever you finish a quest and when exiting the game.

How to Enable Manual Save

Toggle the Autosave Feature in Options

Steps to Enable or Disable Autosave
1
Go to System then select Options.
2
In Options select Save Data.
3
Toggle between On or Off in the Autosave Settings to disable or enable the autosave function. Turning it off lets you save the game manually.

You can't save during hunts or quests.

It is important to note that you cannot save your progress during quests. But you can manually save your progress while in Kamura Village by going to System then selecting Save. You can do this whether autosave feature is on or off.
