Capcom hosted the final digital event livestream for Monster Hunter Rise (MH Rise): Sunbreak on June 7, 2023! The livestream contains information about the Bonus Update including the release date, the variant monster, features, DLC, events, and more!

The livestream for the Bonus Update aired on June 7, 2023, and revealed Primordial Malzeno as the new variant monster and confirmed the release date of the update as June 8 for Switch and Steam and August 24 for other platforms.

The livestream event and developer roundtable were hosted by the directors Yasunori Ichinose (MH Rise) and Yoshitake Suzuki (Sunbreak), alongside the Monster Hunter series Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto!
The Bonus Update, also known as Version 16, releases on June 8, 2023 for Switch and Steam!
It will also launch for PlayStation, Xbox, and Windows on August 24, 2023 alongside the remaining title updates.
Sunbreak Release Date for PS, XBOX, and Game Pass
Primordial Malzeno was confirmed to be the last additional monster and wraps up Sunbreak's story. It unlocks at MR 10 and comes with new armor, weapons, and buddy equipment.
Primordial Malzeno: Basic Information
A new option to improve the slots of armor through Qurious Crafting was also shown. This can either add additional slots or allow higher level decorations to be added in augmented armor.
Best Armor Augments and Armor Recommendations
Like previous title updates, there will be additional rewards and cosmetics that will be added to the game through event quests. The Cielo layered set was previously teased, and it looks like we're getting the Buff Body Gamma set too! These will run until July 27, 2023.
No new paid DLC will be released with this update. Instead, they will release additional packs of existing DLC.
