Players can start this side quest after finishing the Back to the Grind faction quest for Ryujin Industries. Just talk to Rafiq Hamza at Ryujin Towers and offer to help him with his minor indiscretion.

You can find Rafiq Hamza at the lounge near Imogene's office on the Operations Floor of Ryujin Towers in Neon. The city is on the planet Volii Alpha of the Volii Star System.

Balancing the Books Walkthrough and Objectives

Main Objectives

1. Speak to Huong Le
2. Find the Spreadsheets Near the Employee Break Area
3. Return to Huong Le
4. Return the Slate to Rafiq Hamza

1. Speak to Huong Le

Rafiq will ask you to speak to Huong Le since she may have the slate. Head to the Underbelly in Neon, and you will find her sitting next to the Xenofresh Seafood shop. Giving her credits, or not, will not affect the mission.

Help Her or Let Her Keep It

While talking to her, she will ask you to find her spreadsheets in exchange for the slate, or you can tell her to keep the slate and destroy the data inside. Both options will complete the mission, but you will get less credits if you choose to let her keep it.

2. Find the Spreadsheets Near the Employee Break Area

If you chose to help her, then you will need to find her spreadsheets in the nearby break area. All three have quest markers so they will be easy to find. One of them is underneath a box, another is on the roof of a shed, and the last one is inside a locker.

3. Return to Huong Le

After you find the spreadsheets, go back to Huong Le and give it to her. She will thank you and she will give you the slate as promised.

4. Return the Slate to Rafiq Hamza

Once you have the slate, or if you chose to let Huong keep it, then you can head back to Rafiq and tell him what happened. Completing the mission will grant you 100 EXP, and if you retrieved the slate, he will reward you with 2000 Credits. However, if you let her keep it, then he will only give you 1000 Credits.
