Starfield will be playable day one on Xbox Game Pass, when Starfield launches on September 6, 2023. Game Pass subscribers will also have access to all pre-order content on game launch.

In order to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass, simply head to the Xbox Official Website and select the option to join Game Pass.
Release Time and Countdown
Xbox has halved the $1 trial period of Game Pass a month prior to Starfield's release date. Now, the $1 trial available to first time subscribers will only last for 14 days, when it originally lasted a whole month.
Starfield will launch only on PC and Xbox Series X|S, and not other platforms like Xbox One and PS5.
However, other platforms will be able to play Starfield using Microsoft's cloud gaming service called Xbox Cloud Gaming, or xCloud. You simply need to purchase an Ultimate-tier subscription to Xbox Game Pass for $16.99 every month, then launch xCloud on the following available platforms, which includes Xbox One.

Available Platforms and Consoles
Subscribers of Xbox Game Pass will not have early access to Starfield, as this perk is only available for people who purchase the Premium and Constellation editions of the game.
You can, however, upgrade to Premium after getting the game on Game Pass. This upgrade will cost you an additional $34.99 on top of the Game Pass subscription fee.
