Players can start the quest by heading to Dawn's Roost in the Residential District of New Atlantis. Once there, talk to Markieff Sutherland sitting on a table inside.
Markieff will mark the planet and star system where the alien predator is, but typically it will be in a Deserted Relay Station site. Note that this site is procedurally generated, which means that the location will be different from character to character.
It would be best to have a ship with a good grav drive and fuel tank to make sure you are able to whichever star system the site would be at.
After landing on the site, kill the predator marked in the area. The alien will be different between characters, but it will be at Level 15 so it won't be much of a challenge.
Combat Tips and Mistakes to Avoid
After hunting the predator, you can also loot Kieran Cooper's slate from its body. Read it to learn that the previous contractor was planning to sell it to a competitor instead, which opens up a different way to finish the quest.
When you finish the predator off, pick up the Fermented Coffee Beans from its body. You can also pick up other resources and useful drops for selling.
When you finish reading the slate, you can go to the Terrabrew Manager in the Terrabrew Shop at the Commercial District of New Atlantis. Sell the beans to her, and she will reward you with 3000 Credits and 150 EXP.
If you decide to not sell it off to the competitor, then you can go back to Markieff at Dawn's Roost, and give him back the coffee beans. He will reward you with 2000 Credits and 150 EXP for completing the mission for him.
