The best houses to get are the Dream Home and Mercury Tower Penthouse based on their value, size, appearance, and location.

The Dream Home, although a bit pricey, is one of the best when it comes to aesthetics. In addition, the house has the biggest space out of all and is located on none other than your home planet. Note that the only way to get this is to choose the Dream Home trait during character creation.

The Mercury Tower Penthouse comes in second but is definitely not far behind. Aside from being free, it's extremely spacious and has this elegant vibe to it. To top it all off, it's located at the heart of New Atlantis, which is one of the most prosperous cities in the game.
