How to Get
This location requires you to progress through the Back to Vectera quest, where you have listened to the Emergency Transmission. The transmission will point you to the Ransacked Research Outpost in Bessel III.

Once you have landed on the now Crimson Fleet outpost, enter one of the structures that leads to the Crimson Fleet Outpost area. Proceed downstairs, and right before you enter the room with the pirates, you will find Kryx's Journal Entry 01 towards your left, beside a large weapon case.

How to Get
This Journal Entry is located on a mining outpost run by the Ecliptic called the Vulture's Roost situated on the planet Jaffa IV in the Jaffa System.

You can find Kryx's Journal Entry 02 inside a structure on top of the 2nd platform from your ship's landing area. The journal is on top of a coffee table on that structure's second floor.

How to Get
The Kryx's Journal Entry 03 can be found on a counter inside the locked room in the basement of Vlad's Villa on Syrma VII-a. You'll need at least Rank 1 in Security to unlock the door.

You can also pick up the unique weapon, The Mutineer, on a nearby table.

How to Get
Access to The Lock is part of the Echoes of the Past quest, which, in turn, is part of the Crimson Fleet Questline.

Kryx's Journal Entry 04 can be found in one of the lockers in the shower room deep below the D-Block section of The Lock.

To get to the shower room, when you enter D-Block, and you're able to see the cavern, take the broken path to the left. Jump to the stairs below and pass the security room and kitchen section. The shower room should be on your right.

How to Get
Near the monument, head up the stairs to the left of the Town Hall. Continue straight until you find the magazine on a table.

You can also get an issue of Mining Monthly in Lizzy's Bar which is also in Gagarin Landing.

Kryx's Journal Entry Bonus Effects

Amount of Magazines Collected Bonus Effect
1 Magazine Store prices are permanently reduced by 2%, and you permanently sell items for 2% more (on top of any other bonuses).
2 Magazines Crew and companions permanently do 5% more weapon damage (on top of any other bonuses).
3 Magazines Your ship's cargo hold can permanently hold 5% more.
4 Magazines The cost of bribing someone is permanently reduced by 5%.
5 Magazines Basic and Advanced Social skills are permanently unlocked 2% faster (on top of any other bonuses).

Collecting certain numbers of Kryx's Journal Entries will give you corresponding permanent buffs. These buffs focus mostly on utility and Social skills.

How to Use Skill Magazines

Collect for Permanent Bonus Effects

Starfield - Mining Monthly Issue 02
Obtaining Skill Magazines will automatically give you permanent bonus effects based on the number of magazines you've collected in a certain category. Whether you decide to sell or drop the magazine after getting it will not affect the buffs you've received.

Effects Carry Over to New Game Plus

Starfield - New Game Plus Skill Magazine
Bonus effects from collecting Skill Magazines will remain in your New Game Plus playthrough. This will also allow you to gain new effects after obtaining similar magazines you've gathered in different universes.

After activating all bonus effects, the Skill Magazines will no longer have any bonus descriptions and are only good for selling.
