You can recruit Marika as a companion by talking to her in the Viewport, near the New Atlantis landing pad. She will ask for a fee before joining your crew.

Marika Boros is not a romance option in Starfield and you won't be able to start a relationship with them.
Marika Boros is a previous Freestar Ranger, so it's no suprise that she is proficient with ballistic weapons primarily with shotguns. This will prove to be significantly useful on the battle field, as she will stay close to enemies to both absorb and deal high damage.
You also have the option to assign her to a ship where you can benefit from her Particle Beam Weapon Systems if you want to bring a different companion on missions.
