How to Use Skill Magazines

Take to Gain Permanent Buffs

When you find a skill magazine, taking it will give you permanent buffs depending on what magazine you read. You can safely drop or sell it and keep the bonuses from it after you collect one.

Also note that the bonuses from magazines are not tied to the issue number for most magazine series. Instead, the bonuses may differ depending on how many magazines you collected from that series. The only series that have its bonuses fixed to its issue numbers are Neon Nights and The New Atlantian.

Bonuses Carry Over to New Game Plus

Any buffs you've gained from skill magazines carry over to New Game Plus. You can also gain new buffs from skill magazines you've already read in previous universes. Once you've gained all possible skills from a magazine across several universes, they'll no longer carry a description and are only good for selling.
