| Vanguard Space Tactics 01 is found on top of a table in room adjoing the Vanguard Pilot Simulators.
To get there, players should head to the MAST Tower in the MAST District of New Atlantis. From there, take the elevator behind the receptionist and go to the Vanguard Pilot Simulator floor. Exit the elevator and turn left to see the room containing the skill magazine. Walk into the room and check the table on the right to see the skill magazine resting on the table, beside a First Aid box. |

You access the Red Devils HQ after rescuing Percival during the Delivering Devils quest. If you missed picking the magazine up during the quest, the fast travel point for this location also unlocks after rescuing Percival. Although you can find the elevator leading you to the Red Devils HQ earlier, you will be prompted that you do not have floor access to the HQ.
As you descend to the Red Devils HQ, the second Vanguard Space Tactics will be on the opposite end of the facility from the elevator, resting on top of a table near the corner. |

The Colander is an abandoned ship orbiting Schrodinger III in the Schrodinger System.
The skill magazine can be found on a table in a room right before the cockpit. This room is initially inaccessible. To open the door to the room, explore the ship and go down two hatches to access the Mainframe computer. Then, interact with the computer to open the previously locked doors. Upon entering the previously locked room, the third volume of Vanguard Space Tactics can be found beside Sarah P.'s computer. |

The Deimos Armored Transport is an abandoned ship that's being ransacked by the Crimson Fleet. This transport ship is found orbiting the moon Grissom in the Alpha Centauri.
The skill magazine is on a table in an office room close to the ship's entrance. After entering the ship, climb the stairs to the right to find the room with the skill magazine. |

Vanguard Space Tactics 05 can only obtained by hacking an advanced level on a door inside The Sonder spacestation. Thefore, at least one rank of Security is required. The Sonder orbits around Bessel II in the Bessel Star System.
As you enter The Sonder and continue to the darker part of the spacestation, jump to the platform to the right to reach the locked door. After hacking the locked door, continue throught the corridor until you reach the cafeteria. Then open and pass through the vent to the left to reach the room with the skill magazine. The skill magazine is found on top of the table beside the Industiral Workbench. |

| Number of Magazines Collected | Bonus Effect |

| 1 Magazine | Ship missiles permanently deal 5% more damage. |
| 2 Magazines | Ship energy weapons permanently deal 5% more damage. |
| 3 Magazines | Ship particle weapons permanently deal 5% more damage. |
| 4 Magazines | Permanently increases ship repair speed by 5%. |
| 5 Magazines | Permanently take 5% less damage from other ships. |
Collecting certain numbers of Vanguard Space Tactics will give you corresponding permanent buffs. These buffs focus on improving the damage and survivability of your ships.
Obtaining Skill Magazines will automatically give you permanent bonus effects based on the number of magazines you've collected in a certain category. Whether you decide to sell or drop the magazine after getting it will not affect the buffs you've received.
Bonus effects from collecting Skill Magazines will remain in your New Game Plus playthrough. This will also allow you to gain new effects after obtaining similar magazines you've gathered in different universes.
After activating all bonus effects, the Skill Magazines will no longer have any bonus descriptions and are only good for selling.
