All Missables and Points of No Return

Starfield - All Missables and Points of No Return
This guide shows you all the missables and points of no return in Starfield. Read on for a list of quests with points of no return, missables and choices, and what to do before these events!

List of Points of No Return

High Price to Pay

In the mission High Price to Pay, both choices presented will result in the death of one of your companions. The companion you'll lose depends on your choice between Going to The Eye or Defending the Lodge during the quest.

Should You Defend the Lodge or Go to the Eye?

Unearthed

The Unearthed mission decides who you'll fight during the Revelation quest. You won't be able to change sides after making your choice. Your decision here will also affect the ending.

Should You Side with The Hunter or Emissary?

New Game Plus

Starfield - New Game Plus

The final quest, One Giant Leap, has a point of no return, as you will not be able to revisit your current playthrough after you go to the Unity. Most of the story progress made during your previous playthroughs is reset in New Game Plus. However, you can choose to walk away from the Unity if you want to keep exploring your existing universe.

Romanceable Companion

Starfield - Sarah Morgan

Depending on your dialogue choices, you can make one of your companions a romance option. You will lose one of them during High Price to Pay no matter what, but the companion who lives depends on your actions. The belongings of the deceased can be retrieved in the Lodge later on.

How to Increase Companion Affinity

Unreplayable Missions

Starfield - Narion-Valo Star Map View
Missions and Bounties will no longer be replayable after completing or failing them. Unfortunately, there's no workaround for this aspect of the game aside from loading your save files or starting New Game Plus.

Main Quests List and Walkthrough

Skill Points Cannot Be Reallocated

Starfield - Skill Tree

Allocated Skill Points can no longer be reallocated, so players must farm EXP to unlock or upgrade more Skills. Fortunately, the game does not have a level cap, allowing players to get all skill points in a single playthrough if they put their time into it.

How to Level Up and Farm Skill Points Fast

Traits Cannot Be Added

Starfield - Optional Choose 3 Traits
Traits cannot be edited or replaced, and players can permanently remove traits without any way to add more. Additionally, benefits from the other traits that you did not choose during your character creation will not be available in your entire playthrough.

How to Remove Traits

Missable Gear

Starfield - Deadeye
Some weapons and gear can be missed due to your choices. Some examples of these are the Unmitigated Violence and Eternity's Gate which are obtained during the quest Revelation, which involves The Hunter and The Emissary. Choosing to side with one or the other rewards you with one of the weapons, but choosing neither will reward you with both.

Should You Side with The Hunter or The Emissary?
