Storage containers are one of the foundations for Outpost resource farming. Using them in conjunction with your Extractors is the first step to automating your resource farming outpost.

If you're intent on creating a resource farm, definitely prioritize build the storage container type for the resource you're farming.

How to Get Outpost Storage Modules

Craft Them Using Resources

Starfield - Module Crafting Requirements

All modules have a required amount of resources to craft them. Once you've acquired these resources, you can store them in your inventory, with your companion, or on your ship and the game will still consider the crafting conditions met.

Take note that some modules also require power while others have a hard limit on how many of those modules you can craft.
