The objective of Aligning the Houses is to finish the 3 other Shattered Space main quests that unlock at the same time. You’re free to tackle them in any order. Finishing just one of them unlocks The Other Side, though it’s best saved for last, as it's the most difficult of the objectives.
Recommended Order

| 1 | Conflict in Conviction | ・ Easiest of the 3 quests; more of an investigation-type quest where you follow clues. ・ Only 1 area where you fight Vortex Horrors (but not too many) |
| 2 | Zealous Overreach | ・ Medium difficulty; you fight a dungeon full of Zealots and Redeemed, so pretty much your average Starfield quest. ・ The road to the dungeon is long and full of troublesome Phantom enemies if you're going on foot. Better to bring a Rev-8 to skip them. |
| 3 | Exhuming the Past | ・ Most difficult of the 3 quests; you fight lots of Phantoms, particularly 3 mini-boss Phantoms in areas without much cover options. ・ Recommended to stock up on weapons/ammo/aid at The Keep prior to this quest. |
| 4 | The Other Side | ・ Recommended for last since it ties into The Scaled Citadel more clearly. ・ Not as difficult as Exhuming the Past, but you also encounter lots of Phantoms and are swarmed by Vortex Horrors at the end. |
After completing 2 of the 3 House quests, you unlock The Keep Armory, which should help you stock up on weapons, ammo, aid needed.
