How to Unlock and Rewards

Prerequisites Complete the First Contact
Quest Giver Chief Sugiyama
Rewards ・EXP: 50
・Credits: 4800 or 1800

Players can start the quest after they finish the First Contact side quest. After doing so, you can go back to Chief Sugiyama and offer to help him with another situation.

Chief Jiro Sugiyama can be found in his office at the Security Building on Paradiso in the Porrima Star System. The building will be next to the landing pad where your ship is in.

1. Confront the Guest

Starfield - Paradiso Hotel Elevator

When you offer to help Chief Sugiyama, he will ask you to confront Corbin Carpenter, a criminal guest at the Paradiso Hotel. Go to the hotel and use the elevator to go to the 5th Floor Premium Suites. You can then find him in his room towards the end of the hallway.

Persuade Corbin Carpenter

Starfield - Persuade Corbin Carpenter

Once you approach Corbin, you will need to persuade him to surrender peacefully. You can take a Hippolyta before talking with him to increase your chances of persuasion. If you succeed, he will turn himself in.

(Optional) Subdue the Guest

On the other hand, if you fail the persuasion, then Corbin will become hostile and you will need to subdue him by attacking back. He will go in a downed state after you deplete his health. Do note that you will receive less Credits if you have to subdue him and use force.

2. Report Back to Chief Sugiyama

Starfield - Report Back to Chief Sugiyama

After handling the situation, you can report back to Chief Sugiyama about the situation. If you were able to persuade Corbin, then Sugiyama will reward you with 50 EXP and 4800 Credits. However, if you had to disable Corbin using force, then he will only give you 1800 Credits instead.
