If you can endure the Adoring Fan being at your side, you can enjoy the gifts on a regular basis. If you have no other Companion, the Adoring Fan can help activate the Extrovert Trait.
If you can't put up with the Adoring Fan anymore, you can always get rid of him through multiple means.
How to Get Rid of Adoring Fan NPC
You can remove the Hero Worshipped Trait by killing the Adoring Fan. Since they're dead, they can't follow you around anymore.
Hero Worshipped has no incompatible traits, so it can be used in combination with any other trait.

The Hero Worshiped trait can be one of the best traits to have if you can put up with the Adoring Fan's constant annoyances.
