Starfield - How to Fast Travel
Fast Travel in Starfield can be done from planet-to-planet via Grav Jumps and by selecting a waypoint on a planet's surface. Check out this guide to find out how to fast travel through planets, on-land, and through cities.

Fast Travel Using the Map

Starfield - Fast Travel
Press M to open the map. From the map menu, selecting a landmark gives you an option to fast travel to that location. If you're in the surface map, the R button fast travels you to your ship.

If you're in space, toggle between the Planet, System, and Galaxy maps by selecting them with the mouse or pressing the Tab button. From there, you can fast travel to a planet's orbit or a landmark within that planet by holding the X button.

Note that fast travel might be disabled on undiscovered locations, when in combat, overencumbered, or when you are in a quest the prohibits you to do so.

Fast Travel Using the Scanner

Starfield - Fast Travel Scanner
While in the surface, press F to open the scanner HUD. While in the scanner hud, you can point your crosshair to a discovered landmark and press E to fast travel to that location.

Fast Travel from the Missions Menu

Starfield - Fast Travel Mission
Press L to open the Missions Menu. On the Missions Menu, hover over a quest and press R to set a course to your next mission objective. This will allow you to travel to that location if the option is available.

Use Grav Jumps to Fast Travel Between Planets and Galaxies

Fast Travel between planets and galaxies are done using Grav Jumps. You can shorten the cool-down time in between these jumps by powering up your ship's grav drives.
