In the Official Launch Date Announcement trailer by Bethesda, Starfield has been confirmed to release on September 6, 2023 at 12:00 AM UTC for both PC and Xbox Series X|S. Due to timezone differences, Starfield will release as early as on September 5, 2023 at 5:00 PM PDT in the West Coast, United States.
Starfield will not be available on PS5, and it is unlikely that the game will ever come to PlayStation due to Microsoft's prior acquisition of Bethesda's parent company ZeniMax Media Inc. in 2021.

The September 6, 2023 release date for Starfield was officially announced in its Official Launch Date Announcement trailer.
The video shows a few cinematic snippets of Starfield's universe as well as game director Todd Howard's announcement of the Starfield Direct, which streamed on June 12, 2023.

Players will have early access to Starfield on September 1, 2023, which is 5 days before Starfield's full release on September 6. Only players who pre-order the Premium Edition OR the Constellation Edition will be granted early access.
Due to timezone differences, Starfield Early Access will begin on August 31, 2023 for regions in UTC-1 and below, which includes North and South America.
