How to Repair Ships

Repairing your ship restores its hull's health in Starfield. Learn how to repair ships and where to get the ship parts item for repairs.

Repair Through Ship Services Technicians

Starfield - Always Repair Ship

You can find a Ship Services Technician in spaceports and pay 1000 credits to repair your ship. You can only repair your ships if the ship's hull is damaged. Otherwise, the technician will say that your ship is not in need of repairs.

This is the cheapest method to repair your ship, but it requires landing on spaceports. The earliest technician you can encounter in the game is in New Atlantis.

You can use an item called ship parts to repair your ship's hull while out in space. Ship parts are aid items that repair a ship's hull by 4% for 10 seconds.

Destroyed ships will sometimes have ship parts that you can loot from their debris. You may also get them as a reward for helping friendly ships when defeating hostile enemy ships.
