| Constellation Guide 01 is found resting on one of the railings surrounding the central table inside The Lodge. Players can enter The Lodge after going to the Mast District in New Atlantis on the Planet Jemison. | |||||||||||||||

| Constellation Guide 02 is located at an Abandoned Research Tower. These sites are procedurally generated, so you will need to find three-dotted planets or moons to find it.
After entering inside, take the lift up and then head inside the Cafeteria. Take the stairs to the Crew Quarters on the left, and climb up another set of stairs straight ahead. There you can find the magazine on a table next to a computer. |

This skill magazine's location, Dauntless Crew's Crash Site, is only accessible after progressing through Sarah Morgan's companion quest: In Memoriam.
After finding what remains of The Dauntless ship, enter the Shuttle Main Cabin. After talking to Sona, you can find Constellation Guide 03 on top of the table in the center of the cabin. |

| Constellation Guide 04 is found aboard The Clinic Spacestation orbiting planet Deepala in the Narion system. To obtain it, simply board The Clinic and immediately turn left to see some seats against the wall. The guide can be found resting on the small table in between the seats. | |||||||||||||||

| 2 Magazines | Permanently use 15% less O2 while moving when overencumbered. |
| 3 Magazines | Healing items are permanently 5% more effective. |
| 4 Magazines | Outposts permanently produce resouces 5% faster. |
| 5 Magazines | Basic and Advanced Science skills unlocked 2% faster (on top of any other bonuses). |
Collecting certain numbers of Constellation Guides will give you corresponding permanent buffs. These buffs will give you added survival and provide faster advancement of both Novice and Advance Science skills.
The list of Science skills that will benefit from the Constellation Guides buff is as follows:

Obtaining Skill Magazines will automatically give you permanent bonus effects based on the number of magazines you've collected in a certain category. Whether you decide to sell or drop the magazine after getting it will not affect the buffs you've received.
Bonus effects from collecting Skill Magazines will remain in your New Game Plus playthrough. This will also allow you to gain new effects after obtaining similar magazines you've gathered in different universes.
After activating all bonus effects, the Skill Magazines will no longer have any bonus descriptions and are only good for selling.
