How to Use NoClip Command

Toggle NoClip by using the tcl command in the console menu in Starfield. Read on for more information about the NoClip command and opening the console menu.

How to Use NoClip Command

  1. Open the Console Menu
  2. Enter the Command tcl
  3. NoClip Controls
  4. Turn NoClip Off

Open the Console Menu

Starfield - Open the Console Menu
Open the Console Menu by pressing the ~ key on the keyboard usually located at the top-left of the keyboard.

The game will notify you that certain console commands will disable your playthrough's ability to earn achievements anymore.

Toggling NoClip mode will most likely disable achievements for your playthrough.

How to Reenable Achievements

Enter the Command tcl

Type the text tcl and press the Enter key. The console will let you know the command worked with the output text "Collision -> off."

NoClip Controls

To move around while floating around with NoClip turned on, the forward/backward strafe left/right will have the same controls. However, there are no jumping and crouching anymore.

To move upwards or downwards, you have to look upward or downward first before moving forward or backward.

Turn NoClip Off

Repeat the same steps to toggle NoClip off. Open the console and enter the tcl command. This time, the console will output the message: "Collision -> On."

Beware of saving the game while in mid-air. Loading this save without NoClip toggled on will lead you to fall and take damage.

NoClip Command Bug

NoClip Command Does not Work

There is an occasional bug where the tcl command does not work. Quitting the game to the title screen and reloading your save fixes this bug.
