Starfield - How to Turn on the Flashlight

The Flashlight in Starfield can be turned on by holding down the LB button on an Xbox controller or F on the keyboard. See how to turn on the Flashlight and find out what to do when it does not work!

Equip a Space Helmet

If your Flashlight does not work, it is likely that you do not have a Space Helmet equipped. Any helmet under the Helmets tab should have a Flashlight functionality!

Some Helmets Do Not Have a Flashlight

It is worth mentioning that any helmets under the Apparel tab do not have a Flashlight. A key example of this is the Neon Security Helmet.

Starfield - Keybind for Flashlight Removed
If you have a Space Helmet equipped but your Flashlight still does not work, check if your keybinds are correct. You may have accidentally removed the binding for the Handscanner/Flashlight action. With this, simply assign a button for it again!
