As an Industrialist, you know a thing or two about making credits, which means that Commerce is an important skill you should max out. When possible, you can use Persuasion to avoid fighting directly. Learning Payloads is also a good choice so you can carry more items to sell with your ship.
As your background would benefit from crafting, it's adivsable to learn Gastronomy and Special Projects for your survival and offense during exploration.
Industrialists can explore the Settled Systems in search of more resources for their industry. You'll want Astrodynamics to improve your grav drive and learn more about the planets you visit with Astrophysics and Surveying.
