The jetpack can be used to quickly traverse terrain, by jumping on top of an obstacle, and safely descending down to the ground without incurring fall damage. To use a jetpack, jump by pressing Space on a keyboard, or the Y button on an Xbox controller, while in mid-air.
You can even use this to bypass stairs in buildings and jetpack right up to the second floor.
The jetpack allows you to rain bullets from the sky, escaping their line of sight and making yourself a more difficult target. But besides being a tactical maneuver, it's also pretty fun to do!
Enemies won't be able to hide from your crosshairs; the jetpack can lift you high enough to see enemies behind cover. Use the height advantage to snipe them out.
If you're the type to rush into combat and eliminate enemies swiftly and decisively, use the jetpack to fly across rooms, bringing you much closer to your target, and also making around-the-corner surprise attacks more unpredictable.
Your Boost meter can be found at the bottom right of the screen, depletes when you boost, and slowly regenerates over time, even in mid-air. Watch over this meter sometimes to keep track of how much you can boost in your next maneuver.
The Boost Pack Training Skill is a part of your Tech skill tree and can be ranked up by performing various jetpack challenges. Leveling up the Boost Pack will improve the duration and efficiency of your jetpack.

You can buy Packs from vendors with a Basic Boostpack as the modifier. You can later change this to a better boostpack mod by crafting it in Spacesuit Workbenches.
