Rank | Armor Set | How to Get |
1 | Zealot Assault Set |
・Drops from Va'ruun-related enemies such as Va'ruun Zealots and the Redeemed. |
2 | Va'ruun Assault Set |
・Drops from Va'ruun-related enemies such as Va'ruun Zealots and the Redeemed. |
3 | Fang's Set |
・Looted from Maaliya in Fang's Armor after persuading her father to repair and give her the heirlooms in Legacy of the Fang. |
All Shattered Space armor sets have high physical base damage reduction, exceeding those even at the base game, at over the value of 280. When fighting enemies such as Zealots, Spacers, or enemies that deal physical damage, you will want to consider wearing these spacesuits.
PHYS | 282 | Corrosive | 30 |
---|---|---|---|
ENGY | 232 | Airborne | 45 |
EM | 260 | Radiation | 30 |
Thermal | 25 | Mass | 28.40 |
The stats above are calculated with the Zealot and Va'ruun Heavy Assault Spacesuit.
The Zealot and Va'ruun Armor sets are the best Shattered Space armor, as they both have the same stats (when comparing their Heavy Assault versions). Both provide a large amount of damage reduction and environmental resistance.
Pieces of both armor sets can be obtained from fighting Va'ruun enemies such as Va'ruun Zealots and the Redeemed.

The Fang's Spacesuit is a unique set with strong base stats just a bit short of the Va'ruun and Zealot heavy sets, but still better than the ones in the base game. Also, since it's unique, you can't farm a better version of it.

This set is only obtainable from Maaliya Hajtal after successfully persuading her father Farud at the end of the Legacy of the Fang side quest. You have a random chance to encounter Maaliya at a Va'ruun Camp outside of Dazra on Va'ruun'kai after the side quest. Both the Helmet and the Pack can be obtained via pickpocket, but the Spacesuit is only looted from her corpse, which means she must be killed for it to be obtainable.

Order | Armor Set | How to Get |
1 | Mercenary Set |
・Can be obtained from random containers or dropped from Spacers. |
2 | Mark I Set |
・Obtained from a glass case (requires Security Skill Rank 3) at the Lodge in Jemison. |
3 | Old Earth Set |
・Obtained from collecting all 17 Snow Globes. |
You will want to focus on bringing high energy defense armor into the Shattered Space DLC since you will encounter most enemies dealing energy damage, such as Vortex Phantoms and Va'ruun Zealots using energy weapons in Va'ruun'kai.
The Shattered Space DLC missions often have enemies using energy weapons, most notably on the missions Exhuming the Past, The Other Side, and The Scaled Citadel.

---|---|---|---|
ENGY | 280 | Airborne | 55 |
EM | 256 | Radiation | 20 |
Thermal | 15 | Mass | 25.50 |
The Mercenary set is a great choice to bring into the Shattered Space DLC due to it having the highest base energy damage reduction of all the spacesuits. This will make it easier to deal against energy damage in the DLC.
Parts of the Mercenary set can be obtained out in the world from containers. They can also drop from higher level enemy Spacers.

---|---|---|---|
ENGY | 264 | Airborne | 10 |
EM | 264 | Radiation | 10 |
Thermal | 60 | Mass | 16.90 |
Another good set to bring into the Shattered Space DLC is the Mark I Spacesuit. Compared to the Mercenary set, it has a more balanced physical and energy damage reduction and is the most lightweight compared to other armor on this list.
All parts of the Mark I suit are obtainable at the Lodge in Jemison. You must have a Security Skill of Rank 3 in order to hack the master-level lock of this spacesuit's glass case at the Lodge.

PHYS | 276 | Corrosive | 40 |
---|---|---|---|
ENGY | 258 | Airborne | 10 |
EM | 276 | Radiation | 10 |
Thermal | 60 | Mass | 18.50 |
The Old Earth set is another good set to bring in the Shattered Space DLC if you want more emphasis on physical damage reduction while still having a good amount of energy damage reduction.
The set is only obtained upon collecting all 17 Snow Globes scattered on different star systems.
