Best Settings for PC

Play in 4K if Possible

Starfield - Play in 4K
Due to the staggering amount of detail Bethesda have put into this game, playing in 2160p (4K) at high settings and above will be the best way to experience Starfield.

If you have a display and graphics card that are capable of running Starfield well based on the recommended specs, then we recommend playing at 4K.

PC System Requirements

Enable FSR for Higher FPS

If your gaming graphics card is FSR-capable, you will be able to make use of FSR, or FidelityFX™ Super Resolution, which is AMD's very own resolution upscaling technology. Enabling FSR will increase your frame rate, allowing the game to run smoother on older systems.

It is worth noting that recent NVIDIA graphics cards are also capable of using FSR.

Best Settings for Console

4K for Series X

Since Starfield is capped at 30 FPS on console, you will lose absolutely nothing playing at 2160p or 4K resolution. We recommend this resolution to have an extremely clear view of everything the game has to offer.

Available Platforms and Consoles

1440p for Series S

Starfield is recommended to be played on the Series S at 1440p or 2K resolution at 30 FPS. We recommend sticking to 1440p, as this console is not capable of playing Starfield at 4K.

Use Keyboard and Mouse

If Starfield supports keyboard and mouse, then we recommend using them instead of a controller, since keyboard and mouse makes aiming guns so much easier and more accurate.
