False Positives is a side quest in Starfield. See how to unlock False Positives, rewards, and how to complete it.
This bug occurs after talking with Davis and going to the East Gate. Davis stops walking and just stands there, and the quest cannot progress since you need to follow him to a location outside.
Players have reported that going back to your ship and sleeping for 24 hours helped reset the mission and fixed the bug.
The walkthrough team has attempted to replicate the bug but could not encounter or confirm it. If this fix has worked for you or if you have an alternative fix, you're welcome to share it in the comment section and we will make sure to confirm the fix!

Wait for 24 hours to give time for Keoni to analyze the data. To wait and pass the time, you can sleep on beds or sit on chairs. From there, you can choose how many hours will pass by while resting.
After a full day has passed, talk to Keoni Alpin about the data. According to her, the results of the data she got from the sensors are a bit off, and it seems that someone is tampering with it.
Speak to Davis Wilson who is found along Akila City's defensive walls. He'll tell you that he needs assistance in dealing with some creatures and asks you to go with him.
Gear up on weapons, stock up on ammo and first aid items, then meet Davis Wilson at the East Gate. Once you're prepared, tell Davis that you're ready to go on the patrol.
Follow Davis outside of the city. Along the way, you'll discover some tracks that lead to the Ashta.
After discovering a destroyed security bot, the Ashta will emerge out of nowhere. Help Davis in killing each one of them.
Once the situation has been dealt with, talk to Davis. He'll explain that someone from security did this since they're the only ones who have access to security bots.
Combat Tips and Mistakes to Avoid
The Security Logs are located inside the Akila Guard Barracks in Akila City. Head over there and access the Security Database terminal. Under the Access Logs, select Robot Updates to find out that Bailey Kirklin is the culprit who sent out that security bot earlier.
Confront Bailey Kirklin outside by the entrance of the barracks. She'll come clean and confess that she sent the security robot out.
Meet Davis Wilson by the East Gate and inform him that Bailey Kirklin is the culprit.
