Will Starfield Have Keyboard and Mouse Support on Xbox?
No Confirmation on Keyboard and Mouse Support
There has been no official confirmation as to whether Starfield will have keyboard and mouse support. While the Xbox Series X and S both support mouse and keyboard, implementation in different games depends on the developer. Games like Halo Infinite do have mouse and keyboard support, while games like Elden Ring do not.
Keyboard and Mouse Support is Unlikely
Keyboard and mouse support on the Xbox Series X|S is very unlikely, as Bethesda's previous titles like Fallout 76, Fallout 4, and Elder Scrolls Online all do not support keyboard and mouse natively.
However, fans remain hopeful that Bethesda will add in keyboard support, especially considering their partnership with Microsoft. Moveover, Starfield is a futuristic open world action game with first person shooter elements akin to Cyberpunk 2077, which is not a Bethesda game but received keyboard and mouse support after launch, so it would make sense for Starfield to have it as well.
Safer to Stick to Controllers for Xbox
Starfield was designed to work around controllers primarily, given the release of the limited edition Starfield Controller for Xbox, which has the spaceship controls printed onto it.
