Food and drinks will come with recipes that will allow players to repeatedly craft them with base food items, resources, and materials. These crafted food items would become a stronger consumable than the base food item that was used. You can craft them at cooking stations or at a galley located in your ship or at the Lodge.
How to Cook and Where to Find Cooking Stations
There are some food items that can be used for crafting. Look out for these items by reading its description if it can be used as a ''component for crafting''. Do note that not all food items are categorized as an aid item, since some are resources that can only be used to craft other food.
Recipes can also be unlocked through research projects. You will need the Gastronomy Skill to unlock this ability. These recipes will allow you to craft higher tier food items as you rank up the skill.
Food and Drink Research Projects
Food and drinks can also be found and looted during exploration. They will be stored in your inventory and will contribute mass to your weight limit. You can store these items in your cargo space to save space, but you can only access them on your ship or from cooking stations.
