Starfield - Build a Fleet

Owning and building you own fleet is possible. You start with only the Frontier ship, but later on, you can steal from enemies and travelers as well as buy new ones at Star Yards and Space Ports.

Fleet Can Include Different Ship Types

Your fleet can be a combination of ship types like space freighters, speedy fighters, strong battleships, cruise ships, and more depending on how you will use them.

Fleet Battles Unlikely

Starfield - Fleet Battles Unlikely

Fleet battles are highly unlikely since space combat in Starfield is hands-on. Battles using multiple ships may not be able to accommodate features like power allocation for each component and targeting specific parts of enemy ships, especially if you have to assign different crew members to your fleet.

In addition, Starfield places heavy focus on exploration so fleet battles may not be a priority during the game's initial launch.
