Players can mine a lot faster by aiming down their sights while using the cutter. You can hold down your sights by pressing the 'LT' button on controller, or by pressing 'Right Click' on your mouse. This will make your cutter's laser more concentrated, as indicated by the three reticles getting closer on your crosshair.
Keybinds and Controls for PC and Xbox
Farming resources becomes significantly quicker if you aim down your sights while mining. You can see the differences between aiming versus hip firing down below!
Hip Fire mining will take a couple seconds to mine resources and materials. This can take even longer if you start mining higher rarity resources like Caelumite.
By aiming down your sights, you significantly decrease the time it takes to mine a resource. As shown, it will take you a second or even less to get the minerals you need.
