Skills that improve your ship's weapons, including Ballistic Weapon Systems and Missile Weapon Systems, will surely help you take down any future targets more quickly.

Whenever you're outside your ship and on planets, having skills to move quickly, including Boost Pack Training, will aid in getting the jump on your bounties. Neon Street Rat	You grew up on the mean streets of Neon. You gain access to special dialogue options, and better rewards from some missions on Neon. Crime bounty by other factions is greatly increased. (Can't be combined with any other faction allegiance trait.)
Serpent's Embrace	You grew up worshiping the Great Serpent. Grav jumping provides a temporary boost to health and oxygen, but health and oxygen are lowered if you don't continue jumping regularly - like an addiction. (Can't be combined with any other religion trait.)

As a Bounty Hunter, you'll be on your ship often to hunt down any targets throughout the Settled Systems. Neon Street Rat is a natural fit for this to increase your rewards from early on in the game. You can also have Serpent's Embrace, as you'll likely be grav jumping often enough for the drawback to barely matter.
