Hold the Rename Prompt on an Outpost Beacon

To remove outposts, hold the "Rename" prompt while pointing your crosshair into the outpost beacon you want to remove.

The Remove Outpost button prompt is the R key by default on PC, or the Y button for Xbox controllers.

Removing an Outpost Beacon also removes all the outpost modules connected to that beacon. The materials used to build all the materials that were lost will be refunded to you and moved to your ship's Cargo Hold.

Move an Outpost by Deleting and Rebuilding It

The only way to relocate the contents of an outpost is to delete the entire Outpost, refunding all its materials used to build it and contained in storage, and recreate everything in a different spot.
