Fall Damage can be received when falling from high places in Starfield. Read on to learn more about fall damage, areas without fall damage, and how to prevent fall damage!
List of Contents
A planet's gravity will affect how fast you fall to the ground. Therefore, the height needed to take fall damage will depend on the planet's gravity.
How fast you fall to the surface will affect how much fall damage you recieve. Depending on how much damage you recieve for falling, you may suffer from Broken Bones and other afflictions.
How to Cure All Status Afflictions
A high gravity planet, like Akila, will mean you can suffer from fall damage from much shorter distances. This also means that you will receive more fall damage when you jump from a similar height compared to other planets. Although, you can avoid taking fall damage by utilizing your boost pack.
In contrast, low gravity planets like Mars will allow you to jump from higher heights while taking little to no fall damage. In these planets, you can jump much higher, stay in the air longer, and you will need to climb a significantly high platform to take fall damage at all.
While in Zero-G Areas, commonly when fighting aboard ships, there will be no fall damage essentially, as you will remain floating even when you reach large heights.
If there are planets and systems with the same environmental anomalies that cause Zero Gravity, it is safe to assume that those areas will also not cause fall damage.
Using your Boost Pack just before hitting the ground may be enough to prevent fall damage!
Keep in mind that the jetpack has a limited flight time, so remember to not fully consume the jump meter so you can jump boost just right before hitting the ground.
You can also upgrade your Boost Pack Skill, to further increase your flight time!
