Quest Marker Does Not Show After Speaking to Admiral Logan

There have been reports of bugs where the quest marker does not point the player to the next location.

Restart the Save

Quicksaving then Quickloading or loading a previous savepoint will usually reset some back-end variables and fixes some minor bugs.

Change Quest Market Options

Your tracked quest may have changed. Set your tracked quest to another one then set it back to In Memoriam.

Proceed to Cassiopeia I

There have been reports that you can open the map and the crash site will be unlocked. Open the Starmap and search for Cassiopeia I within the ETA Cassiopeia System.

Cannot Talk to Sona

When you get back to New Atlantis, you may encounter a bug where you cannot progress the quest due to Sona not responding to you.

Finish the Missed Beyond Measure Quest

In order to fix this bug, finish the Missed Beyond Measure quest that also takes place in the lodge.

How to Get Likes from Sarah

To increase your friendship with Sarah Morgan and gain access to the In Memoriam side quest, you must get enough likes through different interactions with her:

• Travel together with Sarah as a companion.
• Get Likes by choosing the Flirt, Romance, Commitment, and other good options during dialogues with Sarah
• Always do a Quicksave before starting a dialogue in case you get Dislikes.
• Maintain good notoriety and don't attack friendly NPCs

1-2. Proceed to New Atlantis and Speak to Admiral Logan

Sarah will ask for your help to discover the fate of a ship she has previously commanded. Speak to Admiral Logan, located in the Central Command of the MAST.

He will give you the location of the crash site in Cassiopea I.

3-7. Proceed to Cassiopeia I and Proceed to Sarah's Old Campsite

Land on the Ship location on Cassiopea I in the ETA Cassiopea System.

Proceed to the Crash Site where Sarah stayed before UC rescued her.

8-10. Retrieve and Install the Emergency Power Cell to Analyze the Telemetry Data

Sarah has previously used an Emergency Power Cell to set up a rescue beacon. You can salvage that to power the Ship's Computer. The rescue beacon is on a nearby plateau.

Obtain the power cell and return to the crashed ship module beside the campsite. After powering the ship, access the computer and check the Telemetry Data files.

11. Investigate the Shuttle Crash Site

You have discovered the location of the other shuttle that has crashed along with Sarah. Proceed to the other crash site by traveling with your ship.

Continue following the path through the luscious forest until you discover a treehouse made from salvaged ship parts.

12-13. Speak to the Mysterious Girl and Sarah

Within the treehouse, you'll find the very cautious Sona, the only survivor left from the crash site. You discover that Sona is the daughter of Sarah's late colleagues.

Sarah will ask you to retrieve her colleagues' UC Genetags from the nearby graveyard.

14. Collect the Genetags

Leave the treehouse and proceed to the graveyard. As you enter the burial site, you can collect the nine genetags from the makeshift tombstones.

The last genetag you'll be looking for is with a nearby Greater Silverfish. Defeat this creature to receive the last genetag.

15-17. Allow Sona to Stay or Convince Her to Leave

Once you return to the treehouse, you'll find Sarah and Sona arguing about whether Sona should stay. Sarah is unsure about this and will let you talk to Sona.

Before talking to Sona, save the game so you can explore the dialogue options to either allow her to stay or convince her to leave.

It will be best to let Sona leave the planet with you. Sarah will dislike you for allowing Sona to stay.

18-19. Proceed to the Overlook and Speak to Sarah

While you let Sona pack her stuff or leave her in the treehouse, Sarah will invite you to talk with her on a nearby outlook. She will express her feelings about you and Sona's decision.

20-21. Return to New Atlantis and Speak to Sona

Return the genetags to Admiral Logan back in the MAST in New Atlantis.

If you brought Sona, you can speak to her in The Lodge and initiate her as the newest member of The Constellation.

22-25. Lead Sarah to the Colony War Memorial and to the Waterfall in New Atlantis

Escort Sarah into the Colony War Memorial. After paying respects to her fallen colleagues, she invites you to meet her in New Atlantis' waterfall.

In this conversation near the waterfall, you can finish the quest by choosing the Romance or Friendship dialogue options.
