You will be prompted to choose between killing Marco Graziani or accepting his bribe during the On the Run quest. Learn about all the available choices, the consequences of each choice, and which choice is best!

Kill Marco Graziani The ability to loot Marco's starship and the elimination of a smuggling cartel from Freestar Collective space. (liked by companions)
Accept His Bribe 2500 Credits and Marco's smuggling cartel flourishing in Freestar Collective space. (disliked by companions)

This choice occurs during On the Run, with Marco bribing you with 2500 Credits and the encrypted slate in exchange for letting him freely operate his smuggling cartel in Freestar Collective space.

Alternatively, you can simply kill him although you'll also need to dispatch the bodyguards on his ship.

Kill Marco Graziani

Killing Marco Graziani causes his bodyguards to attack you, but you can loot their bodies and Marco's spaceship for items and materials that are worth more than the 2500 Credits he bribes you with.

All four companions will like this decision, and you can still loot the Encrypted Slate you need from Marco's corpse.

Accept His Bribe

Marco will offer you 2500 Credits and the Encrypted Slate in exchange for letting him operate freely in Freestar Collective space.

While this choice prevents a shootout in Marco's spaceship, it is also disliked by the companions. Marshal Daniel Blake and Emma Wilcox will also take note of your choice to accept Marco's bribe at the start of First to Fight, First to Die, though this has no bearing on the quest's progress.
