Best Skills for Space Scoundrel
As a Space Scoundrel, your shady past has given you experience with Persuasion, Theft and lockpicking with Security. These work hand in hand with Stealth and Concealment to hide yourself from enemies. You're also able to fly different ships thanks to Piloting and can take down any ships in your way with Targeting Control Systems.
Space Scoundrels are also no stranger to fights, so Combat Skills like Lasers, Rifle Certification, and Pistol Certification work well. You can also acquire Boost Pack Training and Boost Assault Training to have great mobility off and on combat. Top it off with Robotics which is a great skill to have against machines.
Being a Space Scoundrel, you're never short of sly tricks you can pull to flip the odds to your favor through skills like Instigation, Manipulation, Persuasion, and Negotiation.

With Space Scoundrel as your background, having the Wanted trait could make sense if you're looking to pick fights with random bounty hunters. You'll even get a damage boost if your health is low.
The Spaced and Serpent's Embrace traits can also help with their boosted health and oxygen under the right conditions. Just make sure to mostly stay in space and use grav jump often.
