Starfield - Character Creation

Starfield will have detailed character creation options giving players a ton of customization choices. Read on to see all of Starfield's character creation options, including customization for your body type, facial details, personal background and unique traits.

Preset Selection

There are 40 presets to base your character from. These presets will determine the starting point of your character's looks.

Body Type Adjustment

Next, you can adjust the preset's body shape by determining how thin, muscular, or heavy they are. Here, you can also choose between two body types: Masculine and feminine, as well as change your walk cycle and skin tone.

Facial Details Customization

Starfield has a ton of facial customization options that allow you to change every small detail of your character's face, including your head shape, hairstyle, hair color, eyes, and so much more!

Choose Your Own Background

Next, you can choose your character's own personal backstory, with a character background that grants you three unique starting skills. These character backgrounds may even come in handy in certain quests.

Pick Up to Three Traits

Finally, you can pick up to three optional Traits that can give you unique advantages or even disadvantages in order to change up your gameplay in small but interesting ways.

Set Your Name and Pronoun

Starfield Name and Pronoun Selection
As you finish up your character with their name, you may also select your pronoun using the B button for PC players. This affects the dialogue of the NPCs in-game.
