Start the Overdesigned Side Quest
The Kepler R ship is a reward from the Overdesigned side quest, which you can start at The Lodge found in New Atlantis. To unlock this quest, you will first need to complete the High Price to Pay mission.
Overdesigned Walkthrough and Choices
Persuade Jules for a Bigger Budget
To get the Kepler R ship, you must first convince Jules to get a bigger budget. This is the most crucial step and requires you to succeed a persuasion check.
Make sure to save before doing so. The Persuasion Skill and other items that grant this buff should come in handy.
Speak Positively to the Team
During the optional objective to give feedback to the team's proposals, talk to each one of them and always choose the positive responses that will encourage each member.
Propose a Compromise
Once you have completed the two missions, Jules will tell you that the team is still not on agreeable terms. You will have to choose between suggesting a compromise or do a team building exercise.
We have proven through our own playthrough that you can get the Kepler R if you choose to compromise.
Get the Kepler R Ship
After completing all the quest objectives and talking to Walter Stroud, you should get the Kepler R Ship, one of the best ships in the game. Open up your menu and check to see the ship and its details.
