Tier List | |

・Rifles ・Scoped Weapons ・Heavy Weapons |
|
・Shotguns ・Pistols ・Laser Rifles ・Particle Beam Weapons |
|
・Laser Weapons ・Melee Weapons |
Rifles are the most versatile weapons in Starfield, as players can bring rifles in any situation and terrain. Rifles are also the easiest weapon to use, as aiming with these weapons is the easiest.
Scoped Weapons are one of the strongest weapon types in Starfield, this is due to their high range, allowing players to pick off enemies from afar with little to no risk of being under fire.
Heavy Weapons are the biggest punchers on a player's arsenal; they have different archetypes but all lead to the same resulting wreck they leave behind when used. Heavy Weapons can easily deal with bosses and mob groups in no time, which lands them in S-Tier.
Shotguns pack a punch if players know how to utilize their damage capabilities with their range. However, the risk of being inside enemy range requires skill to pull off this weapon.
Pistols are also versatile weapons that benefit the player in any encounter and terrain. Pistols are best utilized in stealth playstyles which makes it a dangerous tool when combined with stealth perks like Stealth and Concealment.
Laser Rifles may not be the best out of all rifles, but their modding capability and versatile damage type nail them on a solid A-spot. Laser Rifles can be used for higher damage against robots, or modified into electromagnetic weapons for an ideal pacifist run.
Particle Beam weapons are a great choice for players who want to try something unique without having to think about which weapons they should use for specific enemy types. As particle beam weapons deal both physical and energy damage, they're an efficient weapon choice for any encounter against humans, wildlife, and robots.
Best Particle Beam Weapons Tier List
Despite having one of the strongest weapons in the game on its roster, Laser Weapons overall are underwhelming weapons to use as they are only beneficial in zero-gravity fights and against robots which rarely occur or appear in the game.
Melee Weapons are the least powerful weapons in Starfield. Players who can utilize this weapon are those who specialize in stealth, and espionage.
