With your background as a Beast Hunter, you have experience dealing with hostile aliens using Ballistics. You can improve these weapons with Pistol Certification or Rifle Certification. Learning Boost Pack Training should help you get the jump on aliens.
Thanks to Fitness, you also have more oxygen for when you need to run far. You can supplement this with Wellness and Medicine to help with survivability. Your knowledge of Gastronomy allows you to craft special food while learning Scavenging should give you access to more ingredients to recover your health and oxygen, and Zoology will allow you to gain more organic resources from creatures.

The best weapon a Beast Hunter can have is the Magsniper scoped weapon to deal high damage to enemies and potentially one-shot them, paired with a Keelhauler pistol to finish off any remaining signs of struggle.

If you're focused on eliminating aliens all over the Settled Systems, you may want Terra Firma to boost your health and oxygen while on the surface of planets. You can also have a companion help you out in your hunts to use less oxygen, thanks to Extrovert. The last trait can be anything, but traits like Freestar Collective Settler may give you bonus rewards and dialogue.
