Allocate the Zoology Skill
Allocate the Zoology Skill for at least one rank in the Science Skill Tree to start raising and farming materials from fauna. Zoology allows building an Animal Husbandry Facility in an Outpost.
To allocate Zoology, you need to have at least two points allocated in the Science Skill Tree.

Be on a Habitable Planet
Find a planet where fauna can live. This information can be seen when hovering over planets or moons on your Starmap.
Here's a small list of familiar planets or moons you can build an Animal Husbandry Facility on:
- Jemison - Alpha Centauri System
- Gargarin - Alpha Centauri System
- Akila - Cheyenne System
- Montara Luna - Cheyenne System
Scan a Species of Fauna to 100%
To be able to craft an Animal Husbandry Facility, you need to scan a species of local fauna to 100%.
There's a small exception of fauna that does not allow Outpost Production. Scanning these fauna species will not unlock crafting an Animal Husbandry Facility in that planet.
Gather the Materials Needed
The materials required for an Animal Husbandry Facility are not rare and can be looted throughout your journey in the galaxy, or can be bought from NPCs.
