Check out how to modify weapons in Starfield here! We'll show you how weapon mods work, how to get and install these mods, and a list of all available weapon mods in this guide.
List of Contents
When you have acquired or crafted the mod you want to attach, go to a Weapon Workbench and attach the mods to your weapon of choice. This is the part where you spend your resources, so be sure to have enough!
Where to Find Weapon Workbenches
Each weapon has a number of weapon slots that can take mods. You can only install one mod per type of slot, so you can't have multiple types of optics or magazines in a single weapon. Notably, melee weapons can't be modded.
|
Weapon Mods are crafted using the Weapon Workbench. Choose a Mod Slot to see a list of applicable mods.
Crafting Weapon Mods consumes resources and materials, but you'll get a lot of those as you explore the universe!
List of All Resources and Materials
If you want better mods, it's best to have points Science Skill Tree, specifically in the Research Methods Skill and Weapon Engineering Skill.
Research Methods will save you resources while crafting while Weapon Engineering will allow you to craft powerful mods, which will get even better as this skill ranks up! Keep this skill in mind in your weapon modding adventure!
You'll get plenty of materials for crafting Weapon Mods, but there are other ways to obtain them too! Weapon Mods can be looted from defeated enemies, found in the overworld. Be sure to loot them after putting them in space ground!
You can also buy Weapon Mods from shops across the galaxy! Save up those credits if you want to upgrade your weapon of choice!
