Disarming is one of the ways to fight enemies in Starfield. Read on to learn how to disarm an enemy, what you can do to avoid getting disarmed, and what to do when that happens!

How to Disarm Enemies

Select a Disarming Skill

Skills that can Disarm
Starfield - Martial Arts Martial Arts
(Physical Skill)		 Starfield - Targeting Targeting
(Combat Skill)

You can disarm an enemy if you unlock a specific skill in Starfield. There are only two skills that can disarm an enemy in the game. These are the Martial Arts under Physical Skill and Targeting under Combat Skill.

Accumulate enough Skill Points to unlock those skills!

Repulsing Armor Effect

Starfield - Repulsing Armor Effect

When you loot Rare, Epic, or Legendary Armor, there is a chance it can have the Repulsing effect which gives you a 5% chance to disarm nearby attackers. This effect can disarm enemies you attack and enemies that attack you.

How to Avoid Being Disarmed

Most Enemies Cannot Disarm You

Players do not need to worry too much about being disarmed since most enemies cannot disarm you, whether they use ranged, melee, or explosive weapons. Alien monsters also cannot disarm you with their attacks.

Against EM Weapons

However, it may be possible for high level enemies with EM weapons to disarm you since EM weapons are designed to be non-lethal and disable you. Although, this is only speculation and it has not yet been confirmed.
