During the side quest Missed the Mark, you will be prompted to accept or refuse Maldonaldo's offer of turning back and leaving him with the data in exchange for Credits.

Your answer here determines who you will fight in the following event, as well as the amount of Credits that you will receive in total. This will also have an effect on your relationship with your companion, so choose carefully if you're planning to romance them.

Refuse Maldonaldo's Offer

It is recommended to refuse Maldonaldo's offer in this choice event since this will have a positive impact on your relationship with your companion. You will only get 500 more Credits if you accepted his offer, which isn't really a lot compared to what you can get through the Credit farming methods in the game.

You also get to keep your honor as well as execute the real villain in this mission!
