Unlikely to Skip Cutscenes

Starfield - Skip Cutscenes

Cutscenes in Starfield are likely to take a similar approach to Skyrim’s infamous intro scene, where players had to sit through the whole cinematic.

This is supported by Starfield Direct's section on Traits, where players are warned of the Adoring Fan and his constant commentary. From this, we can assume that cutscenes and dialogue will not be skippable.

Most spaceship launches and landing scenes are likely to be cutscenes in place of loading screens, so skipping them will be impossible.

Whenever you are talking to an NPC, you can choose to skip to a dialogue choice or finish the cutscene by pressing Left Click or Escape on PC, or 'A' on console.

You Cannot Interrupt Two NPCs

However, players cannot skip the dialogue if two NPCs are talking to each other. A popup message stating ''This individual is busy'' to let you know that you have to let them finish speaking.
