You will be prompted to choose between accepting Ron Hope's bribe, keeping his secret, or killing him during The Hammer Falls quest in Starfield. Learn about all the available choices, the consequences of each choice, and which choice is best!

Choice Consequences
[Negotiation] For a substantial bonus, I think we can come to an agreement.
(Accept the Bribe)		 Ron Hope lives, HopeTech security doesn't attack you, and you receive 50,000 credits.
[Accept 20000 Credits] It's too bad Hull died before he could tell me.
(Accept the Bribe)		 Ron Hope lives, HopeTech security doesn't attack you, and you receive 20,000 credits.
For your employees' sake, I'll keep your secret, but your scheme ends now.
(Keep Ron Hope's Secret)		 Ron Hope lives, HopeTech Security does not attack you and Ron Hope ceases his operation.
[Attack] Bribes and threats aren't gonna work on me. (Kill Ron Hope) Ron Hope and Hopetech security will attack you. Elana Nwanko takes over HopeTech.
[Attack] If you refuse to come quietly, I'll have to use force. (Kill Ron Hope) Ron Hope and Hopetech security will attack you. Elana Nwanko takes over HopeTech.

In the quest The Hammer Falls, proceed to Ron Hope's location to initiate the dialogue.

Continue talking to Ron Hope until the choices on the table above show up, these are the triggers for the choice branch. Note that the bribe choices appear earlier in the dialogue.

Should You Kill Ron Hope?

Kill Ron Hope to Avenge the Farmers or Negotiate the Bribe

Killing Ron Hope is the best choice in terms of morality and justice, as accepting Ron Hope's bribe and keeping his secret will get a dislike from all companions.

Sparing Ron Hope is only worth it if you have the Negotiation skill since you can negotiate to get a 50,000 credit reward instead.
