You can install Pack mods on your Pack by interacting with a Spacesuit Workbench that you can find in key locations, usually on safe places like in The Lodge.
Making a mod requires materials, so it is best to keep an eye on objects and loot them as they can end up being useful to craft your mods.
Pack mods are armor mods that give additional effects to your pack like increased oxygen capacity and many more.
One mod can only be active in each slot of the spacesuit and it has 2 mod slots. This means that you can have 2 different effects for your Spacesuit!
The Boostpack slot allows you to insert a Boostpack mod which changes the property of how you travel using your jetpack.
There are mods that give balanced output, while some give increased power output perfect on navigating high-gravity environments.
