Quicksave Often

Due to needing to reach areas that aren't intended to be accessed, it's best to quicksave while you familiarize yourself with the route. This way, you can repeat from a certain point and avoid having to do all the steps from the top.

How to Save

Refresh Stock by Waiting

Starfield - Sleep to Skip Time

You can refresh the stock and credits of vendors by waiting around 48 in-game hours by sitting on any chair. If the stock doesn't reload, you may need to leave the planet and return.

How to Wait and Skip Time

Use Your Consumables

Medipack.jpg

Healing items like the Med Pack and Trauma Pack are highly recommended to survive the swim across the rocks. Consider using items that also boost jump height and movement speed to make the journey easier. However, consuming too many stimulants will get your player character addicted, gaining a Stimulants Addiction status infliction!

Upgrade Your Ship for Free

You can use the credits from the Ship Services vendor to upgrade your ship and then return to the chest later to take your credits back, essentially giving you free upgrades. If you position yourself right, you don't need to jump back up.
