Starfield - Paradiso Colony Ship Choice Guide

You will be prompted to choose between buying a Grav Drive or taking the Settlement Deal during the First Contact quest in Starfield. Learn about all the available choices, the consequences of each choice, and which choice is best!

Take the Settlement Deal The colonists can settle on Porrima II in exchange for hardwork and labor.
Buy a Grav Drive The colonists wil be able to travel to any star system and settle on any planet they want.

During the mission, First Contact, you will begin negotiations with Oliver Campbell and his subordinates to decide the fate of the Paradiso Colony Ship.

Here, you'll be presented with two options, either to accept the Settlement Deal and force the colonists to become servants on Porrima II, or purchase a Grav Drive for them so they could freely choose a planet they wish to settle in.

Starfield - Purchasing the Grav Drive for Paradiso Ship

Purchasing a Grav Drive for the colonists is the morally right thing to do as they'll be able to go to any star system and settle on any planet they wish to live in. This prevents their miserable fate of becoming exploited on Porrima II.

Requires You to Spend Credits

Buying a Grav Drive comes at a hefty price of 40,000 Credits. However, this can be bargained for and can be discounted to 25,000 Credits through a successful persuasion check.
